Pau Gasol is awesome. That’s not an opinion, that’s a fact.
If for some reason you aren’t convinced, check out these details from this report by ESPN Los Angeles’ Ramona Shelbourne.
In the past week, Gasol was rumored to be involved in a deal for Cleveland’s Andrew Bynum, and at one point a report – later rescinded – surfaced that the deal was complete. Gasol, apparently, learned of the eventually discounted trade while he was seeing the Lion King musical with his family.
Take note of this gem from Gasol when asked about the experience.
Asked, jokingly, whether it stopped him from enjoying the musical’s famous song “Hakuna Matata,” which means “no worries” in Swahili, Gasol laughed and said, “Yeah, that would’ve been a good way to go. But that’s how I approach things anyway, most of the time.”
Of course Pau lives his life by “Hakuna Matata.” It’s an awesome song from an awesome movie, and Pau is an awesome guy.
