No, that headline is not in the wrong order. The Pass of the Night really was from Andrew Bogut to Steph Curry. We’ve seen this connection before, but usually it’s the other way around. This time, however, it was Bogut showing off his passing skills with a dish to Curry.
Unfortunately for the Warriors, it wasn’t enough to get a win in Phoenix. In our pick for Game of the Night last night, the Warriors and Suns squared off in what proved to be a very entertaining match-up.
Lead once again by Goran Dragic and Eric Bledsoe, the Suns held off the Warriors comeback attempt in the final minutes, and took the 106-102 victory. Dragic finished with 21 points, 4 assists and 4 steals, while Bledsoe contributed 24 points, 8 assists and 3 steals of his own.
For the Warriors, it was Curry leading the way as per usual. But his 30 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists weren’t enough for Golden State to get a win, as they continue to feel the absence of Andre Iguodala.
But even in defeat, the Warriors lived up to their exciting reputation, taking home the honors of Pass of the Night.
With the 2nd quarter winding down, Bogut took control of a missed Bledsoe floater and started the fast break himself. After getting into a bit of trouble with the dribble, he found Curry with a sweet behind-the-back feed that led to a Curry triple.
