Gay played pretty well, scoring 24 points on 8-12 shooting, but it was the Kings’ defense that once again let them down.
Six different Suns scored in double digits last night, led by Bledose and Dragic who scored 28 and 29 points respectively. Bledsoe also added 5 rebounds and 8 assists, while Dragic chipped in 4 boards and 3 assists of his own.
While Dragic only had three helpers, he had the most impressive of the night, and it was good enough to see him make his way back to Pass of the Night.
A few minutes into the 1st quarter, Dragic controlled the ball out on the left wing. Soon, Miles Plumlee arrived to set a screen that Dragic used, driving left towards the baseline. DeMarcus Cousins stunted towards Dragic, attempting to delay him and give Isaiah Thomas time to recover. Cousins did pretty well, but a moment of magic from Dragic proved too much for Cousins to handle.
Rolling to the basket, Plumlee found himself wide open, but it didn’t look like Dragic had a way to get him the ball. That is, until Dragic fired a bounce pass through Cousins legs that hit Plumlee in stride and led to a dunk for the big man.
