ICYMI: Suggested Basketball Reading From Across the Web

Despite trailing by 11 after the 1st quarter, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Miami Heat last night to momentarily stake their claim as the East’s best team. They have the conference’s best record, but actually beating the Heat gives them the full rights to the throne – for the time being at least. We also saw the Brooklyn Nets defeat the Celtics in Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce’s first game against their old club. There was also allegedly a basketball game played between the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks, however, no one can confirm if these reports are true. Tonight, Doc Rivers makes his return to Boston and the Mavericks take on the Warriors in what should be a fun match-up. For now, check out some words about basketball with today’s suggested basketball readings from across the web.

Over at SB Nation’s Bullets Forever, Thomas Pruitt details what went wrong for the Wizards in the final few minutes Monday night.

He was also recently named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. Over at FanSided’s Hardwood Houdini, Richard Spalding writes about why Crawford could win the Most Improved Player Award.
