Boston Celtics Honor Doc Rivers With Tribute Video

Earlier tonight, between the 1st and 2nd quarters of the Boston Celtics-Los Angeles Clippers match-up, the Celtics honored their former coach, Doc Rivers, with a tribute video.

It was Rivers’ first time back in the Garden since he left to take over the reigns of the Clippers.

Rivers was the Celtics’ leader for nine years, running the ship from 2004-2013. In 2008 he helped bring home the Celtics’ first title since 1986.

Aside from the strange musical selection, it was a very nice tribute for one of the franchise’s best coaches. Rivers himself looked to get a bit emotional, as he received a standing ovation from the crowd.
