Pass of the Night: Kyle Lowry to DeMar DeRozan (Video)

In one of the night’s later games, the Toronto Raptors made the long journey south to take on the Phoenix Suns.

It was a fairly close game, but in the end, the Suns’ balanced attack – including 47 points from the bench – was too much for the Raptors to handle. Markieff Morris had a big game for the Suns in a reserve role, leading all scorers with 25 points and also grabbing 11 rebounds. The Suns also had five other players score in double figures on their way to a 106-97 victory.

With the win, the Suns continue their impressive start to the season and move to 11-9, in a tie for the eighth seed in a brutally tough Western Conference.

As for the Raptors, their season continues to be a bit disappointing. The loss drops them to 6-11, two games back of a playoff spot in the East. No one expected them to be a top of the conference team, but they should be doing a bit better, especially given the state of the Eastern Conference.

Playing a pretty good game in defeat for the Raptors was Kyle Lowry. He scored 21 and also dished out 7 assists. The most impressive of those feeds came early on in the night, with just a few minutes left in the 1st quarter.

Dribbling up top, Lowry waited for the play to develop, and it did to perfection. After coming off a back-pick, DeMar DeRozan was wide open, and Lowry fed him with a perfect lob from almost half-court.
