Larry Bird Highlights for Larry Bird’s Birthday

Happy Birthday to the Legend.

Mr. Larry Bird turns 57 today, and in honor, I’ve complied some awesome moments from his brilliant career.

Although Bird retired before I was even born – retired after ’91-’92 season and I was born in ’93 – I’ve watched plenty of old games and countless highlights of the Hall-of-Famer on YouTube.

He’s not only one of the greatest Celtics of all time, but one of the league’s best as well.

And now, I’ll turn it over to the highlights.

The greatest trash-talking moment in NBA history.

The “left-hand” game. Bird scores 47 on the Trail Blazers while shooting everything except jumpers with his left hand.

Bird winning the 1988 3-Point contest, finishing with the famous “one finger in the air” celebration.

Highlights from Bird’s famous 4th quarter duel with Dominique Wilkins in Game 7 of the 1988 Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. Wilkins scored 16 of his 47 in the 4th, but Bird lead the Celtics to the win with 34 points, including 20 in the 4th.

Bird from the corner! Johnny Most calls Bird’s famous buzzer-beater from a 1985 win over the Trail Blazers.

Bird’s famous last-second steal against the Detroit Pistons from Game 5 of the 1987 Eastern Conference Finals.

And finally, a few mixes featuring many more of Bird’s best shots, passes and moments from his illustrious career.
