In a surprise to everyone, the Raptors jumped out to a huge 1st quarter lead, and controlled it the whole 2nd quarter. They even extended the lead in the 3rd quarter, and at the under-six minute timeout, held a 83-58 advantage. Even though the Warriors cut into the edge a little bit, the Raptors still lead by 18 going into the 4th quarter.
But from there, it was all downhill. The Warriors outscored the Raptors, 42-15 in the final frame thanks to eight three-pointers and some brilliant play from Steph Curry, who finished the night with 27 points, 10 assists, and 5 steals. In the midst of the Warriors’ furious 4th quarter comeback, Curry provided the most impressive of those 10 assists.
After poking away a pass, Curry collected the loose ball and started up the court. He pushed it up the left hand side, but didn’t really have a numbers advantage. Running out ahead of him were only Draymond Green and Klay Thompson.
Thompson, as he is want to do, floated out to the three-point line on the right side. Spotting him, Curry whipped a left-handed pass cross-court right into Thompson’s hands. His backcourt mate caught it and knocked down the three to bring the Warriors within five.
