Pass of the Night: Chris Paul to Blake Griffin (Video)

Yesterday was not an exciting day across the Association. There were only a few games, and none of them were close. One of those blowouts was the Los Angeles Clippers easily taking care of business against the Chicago Bulls.

It was supposed to be a big-time match-up between Derrick Rose and the Bulls vs. Chris Paul and the Clippers. But the basketball gods decided that we were having too much fun this season, and took action. Late Friday night, as you’ve surely heard, Rose went down with a knee injury against the Portland Trail Blazers. The injury turned out to be a torn meniscus, which Rose had surgically repaired this morning. The former MVP will now be out for rest of the season.

So the meeting between the Bulls and Clippers turned into Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and company running rampant against a demoralized Chicago team. 121-82 was the embarrassing final score.

Unsurprisingly, it was Paul leading the way for the Clippers. The point god finished with 16 points and 17 assists in just 27 minutes. It was just another brilliant game for the game’s best point guard.

In the middle of the 3rd quarter, Paul dished out the most impressive of those 17 assists. Weaving his way into the lane, Paul attracted multiple Bulls defenders, which left his buddy Blake Griffin wide open in the lane. Spotting Griffin, Paul slipped him a bounce pass through traffic. Griffin then finished with an acrobatic layup.
