The Golden State Warriors assigned Nemanja Nedović to the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Developmental League early on Sunday, but the move did not deter the young rookie.

The 22-year-old dropped 31 points on 9-of-12 shooting in his D-League debut on Sunday night, draining all four three-pointers he attempted in the process. The Warriors beat the Austin Toros for the second time in three days, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Other notable players on the squad include Seth Curry and Mychel Thompson, the younger brothers of Stephen and Klay. Curry struggled with his shot, scoring 10 points but shooting just 3-of-10 from the field. He did, however, tie a team record with his 11 assists on the night. Thompson was 0-of-3 from the field and finished with the goose egg.

Nedović played in eleven games for Golden State before the assignment to Santa Cruz. He was averaging 1.1 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 5 minutes of play. The Serbian native was drafted No. 30 overall by the Warriors in this past June’s draft.

UPDATE:

It was announced after the game that Nedović will be headed back to the team upstairs.
