Marc Gasol Out Indefinitely

Disappointing news in the association today, as the Memphis Grizzlies announced that Marc Gasol has an abdominal tear, and it is unknown when he will return.

Gasol originally suffered the injury against Portland on March 6th, but it didn’t cause him to miss any games. He has actually played every single game this year for the Grizzlies.

Along the way, Gasol has turned into arguably the best defensive big man in the game, thanks to his combination of size, agility and intelligence. Gasol has averaged 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists a night.

Since the Rudy Gay trade, the Gasol had led the Grizzlies to a 17-6 record while being the focal point of the offense. However long the big Spanard is out, and hopefully it isn’t very, it will be a difficult stretch for Memphis. If the Grizzlies hope to make a deep playoff run, they’ll need Gasol back soon.
