Wednesday was yet another thrilling night of NBA action.
LeBron returned to Cleveland and willed the Heat back from a 27 point deficit, and Deron Williams and Brook Lopez each put up over 30 points to lead the Nets over the Mavericks. But the most exciting moments were two games won by late tip-ins.
First, the New Orleans Hornets battled back to knock off the Boston Celtics 87-86 on a Anthony Davis tip-in with under a second remaining. Davis finished with 9 points and 8 rebounds, while the Hornets were led by point guard Greivis Vasquez who almost recoreded a triple double, with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Then, a few minutes later, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in overtime, 90-89 behind a tip-in from Marc Gasol, which was also with under a second left. It was a great game between two Western Conference favorites. Gasol showed once again why he is one of the best centers in the league, finishing the night with 14 points and 15 rebounds while playing great defense.
